I am finally getting a break from my work this weekend and plan to go on a long needed photoshoot! Can anyone reccomend good locations in the Oregon area to go considering the time of year? Anything except creeks sound good since creeks are the only thing I have gotten a chance to shoot recently. Thanks for the help.

east side of the Cascades should be nice and frosty

I've been to Silver Falls the past two weekends and come back with lots and lots of foliage exposures. For color, you'll probably be by a stream anyway, since our deciduous trees tend to live at streamside.

hmmm...Eric is right. Most fall images around here are near water...but if you want fall color...the Japanese Gardens are going off right now. Other than that, you may want to try and capture some fall colors east of Mt Hood around Parkdale.

I think the ideas are great - timing will be critical now...

Thanks for the ideas everybody - parksdale and the sisters sounded like ideal ideas. Looking at the forecasts though it seems like almost every place is going to be rained out! I might have to just hope for a simple overcast day and go shoot some creeks. Would the coast be appropriate if it isnt too heavily overcast?
