Mossy Rocks
This was captured in a stream near Lost Lake last winter. Is the color too cool? I think the bottom rock (and the water itself) is just a little too dark. Any ideas how I could have filled in some light along the bottom without a flash or photoshop? I've done a flash before, and it creates too many specular highlights in the water.

Thanks,
Mike

This was taken on a 20d at 34mm F16, 25 sec, polarizer.

Get yourself one of those fold up reflecters (light-disk), mine is white/gold. They also make white/silver. These work well to fill in and open shadows. Using the gold side will warm up the blues.

Does not look too dark to me. I might adjust the color balance of the water a bit, but it is looking pretty nice as is.

Love it as is. My eye is drawn up to the beautiful detail on the mossy rocks.

Pretty nice little comp. Great job on exposure.
