GS Woodpecker
Just a GS Woodpecker – very quiet at the feeding station apart from a few coal/blue tits and a pair of GSWs. The light has not been too good yet – lots of leaves still on the trees.
D2x 500mm f6.3 1/80sec ISO 200 full frame. USM and slight curve adjustment.
Cheers Simon

Hi Simon,

Would benefit from a tighter crop me thinks :wavey:

it may just be a GSW but it's very nice. The soft lighting is perfect and the composition and your prop both work well. A little more USM perhaps but o/w excellent.

A tad more USM and clone the green line by the tail, apart from that i would be well pleased with it :toast:

Only a GSW but I still haven't seen or photographed on in the wild. Don't crop tighter for me and the USM looks good on my monitor (the problem with internet posting and various different monitors and setups).

Hi Simon
great shot of the GSW with plenty of detail in the plumage and I like the comp. :toast:
