Kind of a cool, confident, smiling elk. You may want to lighten the animal a bit to match the background.

Just goes to show... I did this off of my laptop last night; not the best screen on which to do your photo editing. I actually made it a bit lighter, then backed off.

Would a 4:5 format crop, losing mostly the shoulder, also improve the image a bit? It's pretty full top-to-bottom, but seems a bit loose on the sides.

Nice work, Les. I don't think I'd crop anymore. The frame feels pretty full as is.
