Hi,

Just a simple House Sparrow I'm afraid, taken whilst checking out a site near to home, I returned to the RAW file four times with this one till I got a result I was happy with.

All the best

It may have atken a while behind the PC but well worth it,I love the way the head is in light and the soft pastel colours on the background really set the bird off :toast:

I'm not sure that this one works for me. The bird itself is nice enough (although I do find my eye drawn to the soft tail). But I think it's the bright, minty-green background that is just too dominant - it's constantly competing with the subject.

Wonderful image Phil. Love the light on the head and the background is really just superb.

Nice image of the bird but I too feel the b/g to be a stop too bright and overpowers the lovely image of the bird. Could you use quick mask to select the b/g and tone it down a tad? Just thinking aloud.

Hi Phil

Super shot - the bright BG IMO doesn't really detract in this image as the sunlight has caught the sparrows head and stands out well!

Hello Phil
I'm in the "like it" camp with this one.
