Based on some of the suggestions from you guys, I redid the structure of my website. I have added captions and descriptions to ALL of my photos. Got rid of pop up windows for viewing the photos, and added larger thumbnails. I tried to make the galleries and overall feel of the website as easy, clean, and simple as possible. If you have a few moments, please stop by and let me know what ya think. If you have a lot of time, read through the descriptions. They are more like stories than descriptions. I had fun writing all of them.

At the moment, it seems to be going a bit slow, im not sure. If you have any further suggestions, let me know! If you can, let me know how the speed of the site is. Any bugs? Dead Links you find. Thanks everyone!

no slow down issues?

Hey Jon, I like it! I think you've done a good job of editing photos - not that I know what you started with - but I'd imagine you took a hell of a lot more photos than the ones posted, considering all the places you've been. I really enjoyed your Norway and travel galleries especially. I think your stories add to the photos and make it entertaining to read on.

Hi Jon,

I think the site looks really good. Nice and clean. One thing I might mention is the navigation on the individual image pages. It might be nice to have the navigation closer to the image rather than at the bottom of the text? I do like your stories as well. Also, maybe a way to jump back to the main sub galleries?

nice job, and no slow down issues I saw...

Looks good. Nice and clean. Very sharp looking. One comment: Your photo C6, "Lost Lake", I believe is actually Hanging Lake.

Well done, Jon! I really enjoyed the images selected.
No speed problems noted.

I believe the "Lost Lake" image in your Colorado gallery should be labeled "Hanging Lake"?
At least that is what the Glenwood Canyon turnoff and trail is called.

Thanks so much. I do have a hell of a lot more photos, but I decided on only putting my favorites on the website. I have taken a few hundred pictures this trip, of those edited about 55. and of those...i think I put about 18 on the site. Glad you enjoyed the site and the stories!

Man, that is nicely done. Very clean and simple, really an elegant design that let's the photography stand out. I like the stories - I think they make viewing the images more of an experience than a quick-n-dirty view-and-move-on approach.

I didn't find any dead links. I do agree that a way to get from an image page back to the thumbnail page would be nice. And, like Jack said, looking forward to seeing more from your travels.

Nope nothing looks bad. Not bad for a MAC made site, gee MACS do really do work stuff.

I like it, looks really nice.

I like the site. It has the type of look I wanted for my cheesy site but do not have the time or web talent to do and for $500/page in my neck of the woods I think I'll go to CMC and learn Dreamweaver myself.

Yeah, that shot is Hanging Lake and is just outside of Glenwood Springs. I've also labeled a couple of 'hidden' lakes as things such as 'Secret Lake' or 'Vanishing Pond' just to keep the location to myself or at the request of a property owner to avoid foot traffic. Hanging Lake is a little harder to disquise.
