Exploding water
Last weekends weather conditions-- ( my workshop folks shot in sunny, cloudy, rainy( about 80% of the shooting time) hailing, thundering, lightening, and windy( that's an understatement) conditions.

They were all troopers and nothing deterred us from getting some really good images.

Finaly Sunday, the wind stopped, the rain stopped and all was good..... except for the contrasty really bad light. So we went into a gorge to shoot some water in the AM (Blue Hen Falls--for those who know the area.). I shot some " people images" with one exception.

I walked upstream and found one single rock with water just exploding over it in about a 270 degree direction. This is the result.

Kind of simple, but kind of dramatic. Th-re wasn't a great water fall image but if you look around there are lots of other more intimate images that can produce interesting effects.

Jack,

I really like the composition. It is different from what you usually see. Looks like it needs to be sharpened.

I put up a few pix from the weekend. I actually got more keepers than what I thought.

Good time and thanks again for the hospitality.

Interesting effect, Jack. Really like the colors caught in the spray.

I like the image Jack, but it appears soft/low res to me. I'm not sure why that would be. If you can take care of that aspect, you should have a winner here.

Folks,

The print I made really comes out very sharp. I bet I this version of the image might have lost some of the sharpening when reducing it for web use.

here it is again sharpened up a bit more.

Hmmm. The additional sharpening isn't doing much for me, and I actually prefer the first version. I'll take your word on the print and leave it at that.

I hope you had a good fall, and that you keep posting some of the images you took.
