Coot for Company
Back in Richmond park again this morning trying to get shots of geese taking off. No luck, apart from an obliging coot which kept me company for a while.

With the clocks going back there is a better window of opportunity between sunrise and the dog walkers coming out, so will be back again this weekend. The park closes (8pm-7:30am) for culling from Monday.

1Ds2, 400mm2.8, Wimberley/Manfrotto, ISO400, 1/800, f5. USM and Saturation.

Love the light and water - would have preferred a slightly lower shooting angle, but still very nice!

Agree with DK, would be perfect with a lower viewpoint.

Lights nice, lovely mirror like surface but I'd also agree with the above.

Exposures good, but I would echo DK's comments about angle also the whites look like they have a bit of a red cast.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I am soon to try out a new piece of kit for low level waterside photography Ð a baking tray! I have bought a very small baking trey to put my beanbag in. (£4 at Robert Diaz) The idea is that it will not only keep my rice dry, but also allow me to slide the camera about, especially backwards and forwards which I always find a hastle with a bag...
