Chamois
Taken a couple of weeks ago in the swiss Jura. These animals are extremly hard to get near,I was with a group of 15 yesterday and after 3 hrs still had no shots,They are very spooky and constantly making each other jump and run even in an area where hunting hasnt been allowed for 40 years-the challenge continues
Canon 1d2 500f4 levels,curves,sat,usm

I can imagine how difficult it is to do these animals. It's a fine portrait, let down a tad by the bright highlights in the trees. Wonder if some burning in and a layer of GB would bring the animal out a bit more. Just a thought.

Hi Dave

Cracking shot of the Chamois - the BG does let it down a little. It is so good worth a bit more work!

I imagine getting a shot at all is something of a triumph Dave. Beyond that I'd agree that the background does let this down a little.

Excellent shot of the Chamois, I agree the BG is a tad distracting but the subject mitigates this to a large degree.

Great image, shame about the bg, its your call as to whether to try and tone it down, I would be happy as is as I dislike doing too much....
