Otter
I have had a bit of a hit and miss week. I went to Mull last saturday and spent a few days trying to get images of otter. I had some good encounters and managed to get close to a number of different indivduals. Stalking otters is treacherous pastime over slippery seaweed and jagged rocks but I managed to come away with only a few bumps and scratches. I then went down to spend a safe afternoon with Vince and the bugger ran over my Kit with a 4x4. I then broke down on the M5 and my car is heading to srap yard this weekend but Vince out the Kindness of his heart as given me a car that he doesn't use, bless him all is forgiven  It can only happen to a wildlife photographer.

Excellent shot Danny. I'd like to see it in the top of the frame rather than bottom, but hey, who am I to talk with the otter shots I've got

Well done.

Well Danny you are certainly a man on the move and your effort has been well rewarded - I like your framing!

The comp is quite subjective here, but I suspect it'd look good whether you placed the subject higher or lower, as you have. Excellent. The fish and the stare makes this image for me.

Danny,

Wow, amazing shot. I imagine otters are really hard work.

Looks as though it's just about to scamper away and hide.

Bad luck with Golf, they always breakdown in the worst possible moments.

Hi Danny

A lovely shot, maybe the otter is a bit too much in the corner although for some picture editors this might be a benefit. It does show the habitat very well though with some nice side light on the otter and the rocks.

Seems like to had a succesful trip to Mull.

cheers

Hi Danny,

Great to see you didn't come back empty handed! Nice shot and good to get with the fish in the mouth. Have been there twice this year doing the same thing, so know how punishing it is. The first trip finshed off my old workhorse Audi, and the next trip resulted in a tyre being ripped apart. All worth it though! :toast:
