I was in Fayetteville today and headed back to Fort Smith via the Pig Trail. This shot was taken near the Ozark Highlands trailhead on Highway 23. The best color I saw was in this area. Most other areas are turning brown. I am headed south to the Ouachitas tomorrow in search of the remaining color.

Thanks for the report Tom. There ought to be some nice saturated colors after the rain this morning.
It's really amazing to see so much color this year. Too bad we all work day jobs. (Tim E. aside; rough life he has living right in the middle of it all. No offense, Tim, we all know how hard you work.) As the color and our opportunities seem to be slipping away in the bright sun, I must say how happy I am to have witnessed a Fall of this magnitude, even if my photographic opportunities were limited. Bring on the SNOW.
