Hi,

I am interested in shooting some bohemian waxwings this fall/early winter (Garth's cover image reminded me how beautiful they are).

Can anyone recommend any spots and times?

Thanks!

Dave, Where are you located? My best advice is to subscribe to a bird e-mail list in your area. Most states have one. People will report bird sightings and you will receive an e-mail. This is how I locate many of the birds that I photograph.

Yea, check Maine Bird and NH Birds. They usually show up in early December. The Berlin/Gorham area of NH usually gets them as do many of the western and northern towns in Maine. Just keep an eye on the list servs or drive around some northern towns checking the ornamental crab apples etc.
