Cannot Bring Up Images (how come?)

Hints anyone?

I just subscribed to a dialup service (Seattle...Seanet)

My problem: Thumbnails in the various forums come up, but, when I try to get the full image, they don't come up (I got only one to reveal itself).

Does anyone have an idea why? I'm using an Apple Ibook..I've never had any trouble in the past.

One reason could be the dial up. Maybe you're getting some time-outs?
Maybe your service blocks jpg files larger than certain sizes?
Sounds like a question for your service provider.

How long have you waited? NPN is configured to display a transparent GIF overlay while it's loading the image in the background.

Another thing to be concerned about is some dial-up services offering "accelerated" browsing which really means they are compressing images, sometimes to a point where they are barely recognizable.

It does sounds like a painfully slow connection to me as well. All appears well on this end. If the problem persists, contact your ISP and complain.
