Nature's Autumn fireworks
Visited Westonbirt arboretum for the first time today, it was abosolutely heaving with people, but despite the crowds a few good shots in the bag.

the highlights may not be everyones cup of tea...

Canon 1DsII, Zeiss C/Y 135mm, F2.8, 1/10s, ISO100 tripod. Cropped to 6 x 5 to remove blurred leaf, highlights reduced with shadow/highlight and sharpened, converted to SRGB but no other manipulation.

My kind of fireworks. All this colour around us and so hard to capture, as you say highlights place a question mark.
A Zeiss lens huh, i want one for landscape work, maybe next year.

My kind of fireworks too!! The highlights don't bother me, I find it sort of livens up the background.

Hi Mike

I like the composition and colours. I am not so keen on the specular highlights, slightly too distracting for my eye. Nicely done though, good depth of field for a f2.8 aperture.

cheers

Like this a lot, makes a change to what we all normally post on here.
