This photograph was made on the morning of October 9 near my camp at Four-Jeffrey on Bishop Creek. Clouds to the East were causing rapid changes in the light on the mountains and I also looked for the best position of the clouds, relative to the moon. It was a bit of a challenge, but I think it worked out well.

One of my favorite style of images....
with the setting moon like that.....very nice
Sorry, but I can't find a way in which it doesn't work.... :toast:
I love slowly seeing your gems as you slowly pull one out of the hat and share it :jump:

Beautiful photograph, Preston. I love the composition, specially the placement of the moon within the frame. A very interesing color palette too.

Very nice scene to showcase the moon.

Mt. Humphreys brings back fond memories. I had a couple of different backpacks out of North Lake into the Humphrey basin. Sure is pretty country!

Hi Preston, I was lucky to have a preview of this shot earlier. Great scene, from a special place.

This is great. I like the detail you retained in the moon while exposing everyting else right.
