Hi,
One from the Weekend, does anyone else notice how wildlife seems to go into hiding on bonfire weekend, I live in an area where the paganistic rituals of bonfire societies is still fairly strong, i.e. a lot of huge displays... most of the birds at my feeding station stayed well in the undergrowth, even the ever present and happy to pose Sparrows.

All the best

A lovely colourful image, shame that the eye doesn't have a catchlight, maybe a subtle touch of fill flash would have helped and also lifted the darker parts of the image..but only subtle mind set at say -2 or even -3, remember the old days with slide we would use a pin to poke a hole in the eye thereby giving a shot like this a catchlight...

Blinking Beirut here in Leeds this wknd, I saw a dog running for its life, I must be getting old as I now rant about fireworks. Lovely shot, really rich and the bird pops out beautifully.

No Nits from me,there is a natural looking glint in the eye and think a dot from a flash would distract :toast:

I wondered where my sparrows had gone, you got em!!!

Birds seam to be disapearing from the town/coast area at the moment, except a few Chafs

I love this picture, great colours and clarity :toast: :toast:

Good seasonal feel here Phil. I haven't seen any birds in 3 days around my neck of the woods. Plenty artilary though and the strong whiff of sulphur.

Hi Phil

Nicely done, lovely rich autumn colours. No real nits, pose is fine, composition is a little too central, maybe a landscape orientation might have worked better in this situation. However it is an excellent image as is, good work.

cheers

Beautiful. I like it as it is, but would be nice to see in landscape orientation, for a comparison.
