Michelle and I where at Donna Nook on Sunday with John G, Mike, Dave, Peter, Freddrick, Simon, Heather, Iain, John S, etc.
Having obtained a weather report from my roving weather reporter (everybody should have one ) I set off for what turned out to be a reasonable day of chat.
Like John, I have binned most of my images as I have better shots from previous years but I went wanting some close ups, of which the above is one.
Phil, have changed the chip back to Wylie format
500mm/TC1.4/Tpod/Wildlife watching supplies cover to keep sand of camera.

He's got his eye on you Tom.
Nice image, & different from the crowd.

Great composition and very different(and thats what i like ).
I like too, but can't help thinking it would have been better if you'd tightened the aperture a bit to render the nose a bit more in focus.

Hi Tom
Good composition, panoramic format works well, although possibly a bit too tightly cropped, at least for me. However an excellent shot and composition, nice to see something a bit different from the norm at Donna Nook.
I like it and imagine it has even more impact as a big print.
cheers

Hi Tom
a different perspective I like it.
John
Aberdeen
Walk up the sand ramp by the burger van look at the white triangles a head of you and start walking for about 20 minutes past the nearest white triangle ( with wellies, watch, tide table, compass etc and watch the tide it does tricks with gullies - approx 3/4 -> 1 mile out)
Remember weekends only out on the flats, its a bombing range

that's superb. i love the light catching the texture behind the face, it really frames the face well.

I like the perspective and that single opened eye makes it for me.

Got any tips on the best place to go at Donna... or is it just a case of wandering aimlessly out into the flats?
