Hi Craig

Sorry this doesn't work for me - your composition IMO is wrong, as a general rule it is good to have the bird looking into the frame ( had it been looking the other way it would have been fine) and also the image is a little too soft. On the positive side the setting is good with nice light and BG!

Hi Craig

Lovely light, good background, excellent perch. Only problem is the composition is poor. I would have tried to place the bird higher to the right hand side looking into the frame. I had a quick go at recomposing your shot to give you an idea what composition I feel would work better. Sometimes it just isn't possible in the field due to time, obstacles in the way, etc but always something to think about prior to pressing the shutter release.

Hope you don't mind me bashing your image about a bit.

cheers

Hi Craig

I think Sean's repost shows just what can be done in the post processing. The repost is a very nice image, the lighting and b/g are super.

Hi Sean. Thank you excellent job. One of my problems is I dont have PS and I feel that even though an image has potential for post processing especially as I shoot in raw I am not able to do it justice. For example this is somebody who occasionally posts on NPN (In this case on naturescapes) Check out the image of crested tit before and after processing. Before its a nice picture after its a stunning picture. http://www.naturescapes.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=83012&highlight=juza I guess when I can afford it I will have to get it. Unless you processed in elements?
