Roosting Turnstone.
SD10, Sigma 300-800mm @ 730mm.
F8, 1/500s, ISO400.
CS2 10% crop, levels, sharpen.
Very windy on the exposed estuary today.
This little guy moves up the beach feeding and then settled down to watch me. I was frozed by the time I got back to the car.
Comments welcome.
Cheers

I like the idea here but I'm not entirely happy with the bird's position in the frame. Would like to see it slightly higher and I think losing the water at the top would help. Light patches on the very top of the frame can be distracting. Try scrolling the image up so that the top disappears and you'll see what I mean. Nice exposure and sharp.

Hello Steve
I agree about John's crop, it does improve the overall image, but still a very nice, sharp image of the Turnstone in natural surroundings.
Best wishes
