I just found a whole folder on my computer tucked away full of scans of some of my slide film from when I first started out playing with camera's about 5 years ago!! I even remember my settings, as I was kicking myself at having slow film on an overcast day and was worried it wouldn't be sharp as I was shooting at a slower shutter speed than the focul length and I was at the widest apperture for the lens. Funny how things come back to you!
I remember taking this as I used to carry my camera along the river when walking to the shops and one day saw this guy sitting on a post. I slowly approached him and couldn't believe my luck when I noticed the sign! The perfect sign for a Heron to be wathcing out for fish from!
I think there may be a slight colour cast issue going on but I couldn't settle on a fix for it, what do you guys think? Oh and by the way, the post WAS wonky in real life

Hllo Richard
The composition is good and quite commercial, however, its a shame that there appears to be an OOF piece of foliage in front of the sign. As you say, there is also a pronounced cyan cast (easily fixed in PS) and perhaps a bit too much contrast?
Best wishes

Thank Phil, I was sure there was a colour cast so I'm glad you've spotted it. This was an old scan I did years ago so it would probably benifit from some petter processing in PS. I'm wondering if I might even be able to sort out the OOF foiiage with some careful dodge/burn action so its less apparent.

I think everything is fine with the picture apart from it being a tad contrasty. I don't think the oof vegetation is too much of a distraction as the sign is still clearly ledgible and gives the impression you had to work to get the shot.
