Fall Coming to a Close
An image from my front yard. The Japanese Maple has lost all its leaves, and before raking, I took several images of the area. This is one I thought was okay. It looks really nice in print, but only okay as a web jpeg. Most of the other shots are macro/close up/abstract that I'm still playing with.

Canon 20D
1s @ f/22 AV +1 Exposure Bias
28-74mm @ 33mm

Yeah, its definitely coming to a close and I missed most of it with doing all the work around the house :frown: , I guess there's always next year.

Thats quite a colorful shot. Did you happen to take a shot of this with a wide aperture to limit the depth at all? I was just thinking it might make it more moody.

Ryan,
Did you get one with some of the bare branches showing? I bet this does look awesome in print. Nice one!

Cropping out the top third really does it for me, Ryan. The V of the trees, in the full frame, sort of overpowers the detail and the graphicness of it.

If I included the bare branches, you see the top of my neighbor's house and some evergreens, so I kept it at an angle that excluded that. The V is prominent, I might play around with other comps today.
