Hi,
Just wondering what is the max size print can you get from 1Ds M2 from RAW format converted into PS file? Has anyone tried it?
Thanks.

It really depends on the specific image. Some images can be enlarged/interpolated more than others before breaking down. I have made 16x24 images from the original 1Ds that I was very happy with.
I've seen aprox 8ft high prints from the original 1Ds and the quality was excellent, even when viewed from just a few feet away.

As Guy noted, that is highly subjective and varies depending on the image.
I frequently print 20x30 and 24x30 and never felt that I had reached a size limitation.
My largest has been 40"x60", but those were from at least 4 stitched images.

Thank you so much for your help. What DPI did you have or printing lab recomended?

And I believe that I saw Bill's 4 stitched image 40X60 and a 24X30 prints. If they were the ones from the qube gathering, they both had a fantastic quality of detail.

Mel, yes, those were my large prints that you remember from the CNP gatherin at QUBE.
Reza, the lab I use recommends leaving all files at native resolution and letting their very expensive printer software optimize the uprezing. That works for me. Otherwise, ~240 dpi max is frequently suggested.
From the correct distance, I have had no trouble with 6'x4' ... that said if we are talking about 'fine art' type prints I would suggest no more than 24" on the long side. I say this as I take a lot of panos, and compared to the output of my 617 there is a noticeable difference beyond 24" and definately visable upon close inspection at 30"+. This is using GF.
