Fiery Sunrise....
I did this on Sat. right before our 16hr drive home. One of the best mornings ever imo. The air was barely above freezing and the sky was cloudy when we came out of the hotel. We decided to drive up to the point anyway, very glad we did. 5D, 17mm, iso50 3 stop RGND

Quite a sight it was indeed. I like the dark tones and pano format you used here. I was really missing my 17-40L on this shoot, but I'm glad you were there to capture this beautiful scene.

This one I like, although, I'm sure there are dozens of similar shots in the Lodge. It puts me in a "nice shot" mood although not a "nice Jeremy Cram Signature Photo" mood.

This seems very balanced. What a nice way to end the trip, eh?

I agree about the balance, with the bright rocks on the mid-upper left and the dark area on the lower right. Great sky!

Thank you.
Although this may not be an original composition, it is new to me and the experience was something I'll always remember. Not every shot is a signature photo, nor do I shoot with that in mind, I was just sharing the experience I had.

Great shot, Jeremy. I'm really glad you guys got to see Bryce at it's best. When I visited there in January, I watched this amazing pink sunrise from the parking lot..... 7 inches of snow had fallen the night before and the snow plow was 20 min. from getting to my car so I could drive and slide down the road. I still had a great trip but seeing these colors reminded me very much of that morning.

Looks like a Jeremy Cram shot to me

Nice pano!

I'm with you on that one, Jeremy. I have many levels of shots I like and take, some are trite and overdone but it's fun to take them, some have been taken a billion times before but I haven't taken it a billion times before, some are just to sell and some are signature photos.

Heck, you'd be crazy to be standing there, with your camera gear, looking at this scene and thinking, "I'm not going to shoot this because I've just seen one exactly like it in the lodge".

True that

Outstanding!

Jeremy,
I like the composition and the scene overall. I do think the sky is a bit dark, but I probably would do the same thing. Interesting point is this is a sunset. Almost all shots you see are sunrises from there so that in itself is refreshing.

We were there Monday morning and the scene was very different. 12 degress with blowing snow. 2 hours later patchy blue sky.

Thanks Philip,
Actually it is a sunrise...."Fiery Sunrise" is the title.... I do agree with you that the sky may be a bit dark, I was using a 3 Reverse GND because I had just shot the sun up side and forgot to change it. It's a simple fix that I will try out soon though, thanks again.

Jeremy,
never mind  I just commented on Zack's and sunset was on my mind. Maybe I should read the title before using my fingers...

Good light you guys had there again. I was bit south with similar light, but different location. This one looks very similar to that sunset we were there. Very well balanced. I actually like the darker sky as it gives it more drama look.
