On November 6 and 7th, 2006, Mount Rainier National Park received 18 inches of rain in 36 hours. This link takes you to a presentation (in PDF format) that shows the extent of the damage. Some parts of the park are really messed up. Sunshine Point Campground is gone. The photos are pretty amazing.
Wow, the power of nature never ceases to amaze me.

Guess you'll have to head to Mount Adams or Hood ? They seem in better shape ??

There's always the cascades too...but that is one seriously large amount of rain in a short period. Is it some kind of record?

I heard that 13 1/2 inches in 24 hours at Lee's Camp (in the Oregon Coast Range, near the top of the Wilson River Road) was an all-time record......and I guess Tillamook County took a beating too.
