EOS D60, f/8, rest not recorded.
Not a perfect pic I know, but thought I'd share anyway. After an awesome day climbing on the north face of Ben Nevis, this is what we topped out to. I'd love to develop my photography in the style of Galen Rowell, but really couldn't carry anything other than the camera and 28-90 lens.
Love the light raking across the scene and the dark cloud at the top of the frame balances really well with darker strip of land at the bottom.
That sounds like quite a trek, but well worth it by the sounds of it.
I shall remember your image and mountain climbing adventure next time I'm huffing and puffing my way up the hill by Corfe Castle, kind of puts things in perspective

Hi Pete
thanks for sharing. That is Scotland at it's best!
Like the light , did you go via tower ridge?
In which case taking any camera is doing well.

No, after arriving at the campsite at 2am, Tower Ridge didn't seem such a good idea!! We climbed Castle Ridge (with lots of verglas) but with only one axe each!!!
Was a bit exciting at times!!

I simply felt privileged to see it.
Critique appreciated, but was a grab shot!!!
