Red Kites in flight
With the technology availble now days it is quite easy to make this kind of shot so I could understand if some people think it is cloned but it is not. I took this image at gigrin farm the same time as the Raven shot that I recently posted it is a fantastic place for flight photography if the light is good, it is not easy as there are so many birds flying about and picking them out is difficult as they are so fast. The two birds shown here were chasing each other and I have shots of them against a blue sky but I liked this shot against the Autumn trees. I have cropped a bit from the left hand side so the birds are not so central.

Canon Eos 1D MkII, 500mm Lens, F4, 1/2000, ISO Rating 200.

One bird would be good, but two is even better, much better.
Excellent result.

Excellent result Danny! I agree with Justin - 1 Kite would be great but 2 takes it to another level!

Hi Danny
great capture of the Birds. I do not usually like that type of BG. but in this case it works well. :toast:

superb stuff danny. i'm not a fan of blue sky backgrounds, and i think this tree background really sets it all off, and the two sharp well positioned birds give it the wam bam finish.

Hi Danne, everything been said, it's great photo. BG and two in focus, not much more you can ask for, or maybe a little air-battle...
