Lava canyon color
I keep coming back to this shot from Mt St Helens about 5 wks ago. I like the diagonal log that caught my eye from the trail, tries several angles and like this one the best. Opinions appreciated.

P.S. Has anyone tried to get up past Ape cave in the last week, I heard a weather report that June Lake had 30" of rain. Lava Canyon should have been WILD.

June Lake Creek blew out the road, can't get to Lava Canyon right now. The Muddy River is thought to have hit 2500+/- cfs through the canyon (8 times its normal flow), so I imagine that a LOT of the pesky alder growth in the canyon was ripped out and I'm hoping that the lower series of waterfalls are all once again plainly visible from the top of The Ship.

I like the colors, and agree that the log would be better with some light and detail instead of just dark.
