Fairy Inkcap
Hi Everybody,

I found this fairy inkcap on my lawn this morning so thought it was worth a shot. The breeze was a big problem as the slightest breath of wind sent the fungi all over the viewfinder. The techs were:

D2X, 150MM macro, 1/20th sec at F8.
Thanks for looking.

C & C Welcome as ever.

Regards Chris.

Very nice indeed.Love the simplicity of the image and the quality/sharpness instantly struck me as soon as the image appeared.
Excellent use of depth of field keeping the front of the cap and the bottom of the stem in focus, whilst getting a completely difuse backdrop.

Hi Chris,
Superb image , the composition is spot on and the BG makes this shot work on every level.

I prefer to see the stem going into something-i.e grass or stump but apart from that a cracker :toast:

Nice one, would have prefered a wee bit more room at the top but thats just me.

Nice simple shot where the shallow DOF actually works well.

A good example of "Less is more" - excellent macro work.
