Hello again, everyone!

I'm back from my crazy 7 day stretch. And dealing with COBRA, new insurance plans, and selling my photo equip and other stuff AND the rebates AND house projects has kept me busy. So I haven't had a chance to post this last from the PJG series. Yes, another 17 mm shot...

This is near the entrance and, again, this is to test out the lens at its extreme: f/22 on the full-frame body. I think the naysayers about diffraction are a little too hasty for this lens. It's noticeable at 100% on a screen, but something I can definitely live with.

Anyway, I thought I would include this just for yuks, so we at least can realize what the place looked like before the big windstorm from last week. BTW, the nice orange japanese maple on your right as soon as you enter the garden was completely barren just one week later:O

Tell me what you think.

Specs:

Canon 5D
17-40 mm f/4 lens @ f/22
3 secs?
CPL, tripod, timer

I totally missed the PJG this fall. I like this - more than a "yuk" from me

Nice capture Kevin. I have to burn down that rooftop though. Make it less conspicuous. But thats just me. :)

Glad to see your having fun at full frame! It's a decent capture.

and what I truly think is that I need a wider angle lens.....17 is just not enough!!
