Hi all, having recently moved from the UK to Westford, MA and a lurker on NENP for a while, I thought that I ought to introduce myself. Main interest is avian (birder all my life) but I experiment with other photography. The Tufted Titmouse was taken today at my yard feeding station (first thing I set up when I got here ).
Also, can anyone recommend any photography sites near North Conway, NH? We are heading up there for the weekend and any sites may help avoid driving aimlessly for hours!
Cheers
Mark.

Mark...
Just wanted to say welcome to the NENP forum!! While I can't answer your question about the North Conway area, I can make some suggestions.
1.....Try and get in touch with Garth McElroy. He may see your message and respond.
2.....Check with New Hampshire Audubon
3.....There is a birding and bird feeding supply store in N. Conway...on the left as you go north on Route 16,,,,try there
Cheers!

Hi Mark,
If it's birds you're after North Conway is going to be slow. Maybe check any of the ornamental trees that have berries. You may find some early bohemian waxwings or maybe some cedars. Other than that this is a slow time of year! If you have any other questions drop me an email.

Hi Mark,
Don't know much about birds, but can help you with scenery. The landscape is as slow for scenics as it is for birds, but I might recomend some unique opertunities to shoot waterfalls/streams with first ice forming!
There are some great roadside falls in Crawford Notch, and many others you'll have to work a bit for. Crawford is worth the ride anyway. The AMC Highland center at the top of the notch will have books / info on the local waterfalls. Besides water, Crawford has some great views, and if you continue north just a few more miles, you can get the classic view of the Presidential Range with the Mount Washington Hotel.
Other than that, enjoy the area, and any further questions, drop me an email as well.

Thanks for the info. I guessed that the area would be slow for anything at this time of year but thought I would ask
