Meadow Pipit
Thought I would like to get some feed back on some photos I have been taking. This is a Meadow Pipit photographed during October on a local beach. 20D with 400mm Sigma. Slight crop.

Hello Ivan
Welcome to the forum, and what a superb image to start with . Not only is it an excellent image of the bird, but I also particularly like the composition and of course, the head turn.
Best wishes

Hi Ivan,

Nice image - I really like the cocked head of the Pipit. I find the piece of seaweed (or whatever) sticking up to the left a little distatcting and it seems to compete with the bird for my attention. Apart from that minor nit - top notch!

Hi Ivan,

I agree entirely with Dennis on this one. I'd love to add this to my collections!

Hi Ivan
nice image of the Pipit. There is a lot of whites in the picture Bg. and foreground which distracts me. :toast:

I was very tempted to remove the out of focus seaweed in photoshop, but i decided against it. Thats just altering the image too much.

Craig - Are you sure?
