Red Fox
Another fox captured in Wheat Ridge. I also sold one of these foxes (different image)
through Acclaim Images to be published on the cover of a Canada phonebook.

Canon 20D
500mm lens
Gitzo tripod

I've really enjoyed your fox images, but this one is one of my favorites. Very nice.

I can't get enough of these fox images. One of my favorite animals. Great shot!

No kidding! You consistently get great eye-contact - are you putting bacon grease on your lens hood? Great DOF - it really focuses the viewer right on the eyes.

John Fielder gave a talk in Longmont, the ACC photo club mini seminar and he said that you could attract mountain goats by urinating on a rock and then waiting till they came and licked it up, Dan what do you do for foxes??

I'm afraid there is no urinating involved. I do not think the people around Prospect Park would like that too much! Thanks for all the comments! Really, I just enjoy going out and photographing these foxes. Also, I keep wanting to get a better shot than the last one. Kind of a vicious circle!

The narrow depth of field with the hard focus on the eyes is awesome Dan.

I'll be in Lakewood for work the week of Dec. 4. I might try to make it up to Prospect one of those evenings if I can get out of class before dusk. Do the foxes have a favorite time to be out & about?
