We had thick fog in the Cuyahoga Valley Friday morning. It didn't lift until well after 10 a.m. This shot is from about 8:30 a.m. at 31 degrees. For those of you who know the area, this is the Beaver Pond from Riverview Road. The boardwalk is barely visible on the horizon.
Jack Graham was also out and about that morning. I'm sure he got some memorable images after I wimped out and went in for breakfast.

Chuck,
No way. There was not a lot to shoot there even after the fog began to lift. You're image was better than anything I saw. I didn't even shoot one frame at the beaver pond on Sat Am. However I did go over the to back of the now "classic" Hale Church shot. The sun came out and a flock of geese flew in back of the steeple. I don't think it's as dramatic as it could have been if they were closer to the church but ti light got just OK and here is the best I could do. Not really a keeper but it was as good as it got. A potentially good morning fizzled. Oh well. Winter is coming!

Jack,
I like the geese. They add a nice "end of season" feel to the image. For some reason, this is the first time I've noticed the detail at the top of the steeple.
