Hi Folks,
Okay, enough of my questionable content for this forum! Here's an image my wife (Lisa) shot on Monday while we were in the deep freeze after the snow. The sun had just popped out for a few minutes and while I was taking in the vista with a 17-40, Lisa got this with a longer perspective using her 28-105/f3.5-4.5.
The specs are:
Rebel XTi (her second outting with the new camera)
f11
125th
shot at 63mm
Lisa says that she would like to hear what you guys think, but go easy on her... I have to live here!
Thanks
Lee

Good image! Just think what she'll do when she gets used to the new hardward!
LOL. She got a great shot! Easy to go easy on her; there's not much to complain about. I love how lacey the trees look. Only thing I might suggest is that parts of the foreground are a little 'hot' and the LUC a little dark. It made me wonder about trying the shot with a GND with the light side at the top, dark side over the foreground snow. Just a thought for the next time she does fabulous things like this. Tell her from me: GO, girl!
P.S. Probably easier to tweak this in post-processing, now that i look at it again.

The lighting creates the depth that involves the entire landscape. The immediate foreground does look a little hot, but the image still needs the light/dark contrasts to work best visually. I'm missing strong lines or a central focus, but I still enjoy the image as there is quite a bit to look at. The hanging clouds on the background ridge are a nice touch. This really brings about that exciting feel of the world appearing after a clearing storm.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you very much for the kind and inspirational comments. I'm really enjoying my new XTi and am looking to getting out again... Lee's job now is just carrying my gear!
