Anybody asking Santa for x-mas photo gadgets?

A gorillapod seems like a cute little toy. I never ask for anything though, I just drop not so vague hints.

Richard W,
Are they made from carbon(COAL)
Posted by Richard Wong on December 1, 2006 at 10:45 PM
I'm not sure what they're made of, but someday years after I die I'm sure my body will return to the earth some of the carbon that I have wasted in my life. God bless West Virginia.

That is West "By God" Virginia!

OK so NO ONE ElSE(??) has a wish list? You do know he's real right?

You never said what you wanted either Leann.

Lets see how much space I can use up..Rebel XTI (would say 5D but just "keeping it real"),A new macro zoom lens, panoramic bracket-head thingie,CS2,new boots(h2o proof hiking boots & deer skin cowboy boots),Reverse GND filter, lap top with DVD burner & dual core process.,you know just stocking stuffers
Or... a nice warm wool fisherman's sweater to wear when I take out my 300D w/ kit lens & 200-400mm beast, wearing old boots, trying to guesstimate panoramice shots, using plastic GND filters so I can take home shots to process on my PC in PSE5!
:jump:
World Peace, a printer for my best buddy, sugar cookies and egg nog -oh and deer....that's it

Since we are dealing with Santa. I would like a 400mm 2.8 or 600mm F/4. But I would settle for a 5D to hike wth. My 1Ds II is aweful heavy when hiking.

Well since we're asking  I would like a 5D, 24-105L and an Epson 4800

Wow. After stopping by your house, Santa might have to file for bankruptcy and ask Bill Gates for help after stopping by your house.

If that happens then what I really want is a 5D or D2X (with 17-55 2.8, and SB-800 flash), 24mm T&S lens for the 5D, a Gitzo 1127 tripod with ball head, good telephoto lenses, a parka, snowshoes, a home in Morro Bay, a panoramic head, Epson 9800, 401K, mutual funds, and several years worth of expense-paid trips.

And a partridge in a pear tree...have you noticed that the one(RB) who already has a 5D wants more hours in a day?
I wouldn't get a single item I listed unless I bought it myself. The notion was one like"if you won the lottery you would ..." it's just fun to think about. I have yet to meet anyone who has "too much" fun in their lives to not be worthy of a little guilt free imaginery indulgence.

"I wouldn't get a single item I listed unless I bought it myself." Don't sweat it. That's what Santa's for...

I'm still upset at my mom for pretending to be Santa in the middle of hte night, and me waking up to see that when I was 6 years old. :frown:

Hey that's funny When I was a kid I woke up and followed my mother into the living room and hid behind the recliner watching her. The most upsetting part was that she got to eat the cookies

Well Santa just bought me an Epson 3800. If anyone is interested in a used Epson R2400 or Epson 2200 in good condition give me a shout. I will make you a real good deal.

Well as long as we are asking Santa. I would like a Canon 500mm f4 IS.
Maybe he will bring it. I know my wife is not going to get it for me.

It all depends on what kind of cookies you set out...

Hi Leann - I just ordered my Christmas present to myself today - a new Tokina 12-24 AT-X lens. Should be on the 19th, just in time for my trip out to west Texas and Big Bend National Park. I can't wait!! BTW, Merry Christmas to all SENP'ers!

Also, I'm with Richard on the few more hours in the day - that would be REAL nice.
:wavey:

Leann, funny thing, Santa just delivered my new 5D but the invoice came to my house too. Shouldn't that have gone to the North Pole?

Wayne,
Downsizing, benefit reductions to stay competetive in the market and profit needs for the share holders have affected even the magical! (is it obvious I work for a big corporation  )
Congrats on the new toy anyhow!
