Coastline
Sticks tongue firmly in cheek and says....I don't normally do landscapes.....but here is one of the coast at Silverdale on Morecambe Bay.

Its got a good composition which leads the eye nicely to the BG.Great looking forground lines in the rock aswell.

A little to contrast/saturated on my monitor, but other than that

Hi Paul
I like the colour and texture in the foreground rocks after that my eye drifts along the rest of the rocks to the blue sky which for me loses impact. :toast:

Nice colours and detail Paul, however nothing seems to jump out at me as to what the main focal point is ?

Hi Paul,

I agree with John's comments, also the sky looks a little over-saturated to me. Saying that, this photo brings back happy memories of times spent up there. The foreground and lead-in lines are excellent.

A photo from my neck of the woods! For those that do not know the area particularly well, this is about as dramatic as the coastline of Lancashire and south Cumbria gets. Having said that, the coastline near Silverdale really isn't that dramatic - certainly nowhere near as impressive as the coasline of Cornwall or Dorset etc.

Therefore, I think you've done extremely well to come away from the Silverdale coast with a photo as impressive as this. Whilst it has no real focal point, I don't think coastline photos need a focal point. This is certainly a lot better than anything I've achieved around there.
