If anyone is curious about Glass Mountain mentioned towards the end, it's the formation on the right side of this image

Thanks, Les! That's great... I want to go!

Nice shot of all three major landmarks in the lower valley, Guy. That angle really gives Glass Mountain some respect! (It's really a mound just higher than 7' tall - not much without some creative work...)
PS - Glad everyone likes it. You'll have to order ahead for the clouds, though - they're a bit uncommon. Maybe take Todd with you and see if you can't get some low-hanging fog. (I'll want in on that one!)

Nice write-up. I got the chance to visit there last spring. It is truly and amazing place and I already want to go back again! (and camp overnight next time.)

I was just there in the second week of November. The road between the west entrance and Upper Cathedral Valley was washed out by a huge rainstorm (same storm that dropped 20 inches of snow in Colorado in October). I entered from Cainesville and had to turn around before getting to the Upper Overlook, so I went back to Temple of the Moon for a moon/spotlight light painting session.

I can imagine the damage a flooded Fremont River would have done to the river ford and surrounding roads! Glad you managed to get back there anyway.

Thanks for taking the time to write a great article, Les. The images aren't too bad either.
