Humming Bird (female)
One of my first efforts to photograph this unique bird. It still is a challenge I know I have along way to go so any advice would be appreciated.

Canon 350D 35mm-350mm tripod. No flash used. Taken May 06 in garden Kansas.
Thank you

Barry

Hi Barry

Your composition looks fine and it is quite pleasing to the eye as it is. However I do find the image a little dark and lacking in contrast, I can also see noise in the image which does not really bother me but to try lighten the dark areas would increase the noise and decrease your contrast (still worth a fiddle in photoshop) so I think with the available light you probably did as well as you could expect. Probably some fill flash would have lifted the image.

Hi Barry
I found a good place for these guys when i was last in Calafornia,Very difficult to get near and very fast so you have done well here and certainly have a base to work on
