While I have been selling prints to friends, coworkers and neighbors
and from my website, I have never done a craft show. Well, today I
went to a local show in Sayre PA. I spent all week with my wife
preparing prints and mounting them in mats (no frames). I printed
extra business cards, instructions for care of prints, bios. We got
there at 8:30 AM anticipating on answering a lot of questions about the
locations and equipment. Deep down I hoped to sell at least a print or two.
I am proud, surprised and happy to say we sold about 10 prints with an
order for a few more about to come off the website after the customer
talk with his wife. For those of you who are more seasoned than me,
this is probably small fish. However, it was a good first outing that
has given me the confidence to try a larger show soon.
