Welsh Starlings
EOS D60, 170-500@180, f/8, 1/100s, ISO200

Taken on a project I assist with, showing people these starlings coming into roost on Aberystwyth pier. Certainly a spectacle - there were over 15,000 of them at their peak!! The weekend was finished off nicely by a trip to the Red Kite feeding station at Nant yr Arian.

Sometimes going to work is a real pleasure!!! :wavey:

Hi Pete
I know what you mean about it being a spectacular sight which it is though IMHO this picture does not convey it. :toast:

Hi Pete,

I like the sky but feel that if the Starlings were in some sort of pattern, it would have improved the shot.

Hi Pete,

Nicely handled... would prefer a bit less room at the top and a more at the bottom so that more of the sea and base of the pier were visible, as said a larger flock would have been nice but understand that may not have been a possibilty, also feel a touch more contrast would help.
