shaggy inkcap
Hi Everybody,

This is a Shaggy Inkcap that I photographed in a local woodland today. The techs were:
Nikon D2X, Sigma 150mm macro, 1/30th sec at F10, camera resting on ground

Thanks to all who replied on my last post. C & C welcome

regards Chris

Hi Chris
These have now gone from our woodland out here,This one will gone tomorrow,Its amazing how quick they go from good to bad and would have been good to eat yesterday but there is black around the bottom today so its past its best and tomorrow all that will be left is the stalk with some black gunk on top of it,Apart from the yellowish leaf at the bottom have no nits, even with the leaf its fine and shows time of year

Lovely image - nicely composed and exposed. My only (very monor!) nit is the light coloured leaf in the foreground is which draws my eye a little.

you've handled the whites very well Chris and revealed lots of minute detail in them, to my mind the foreground leaf is a bit distracting to my eye
