Taken this afternoon about 3.15pm whilst topping up the feeders at the feeding stations, I thought I would take the camera out to see what I could get, the conditions were dreadful with drizzle, wind & a dark grey sky to add. One word "Dismal"
Came back with just the one shot, which I am quite pleased with. Flash with an xtender was used to create some light on the subject.

I like this a lot Vincent! Nice setting and a very good use of the flash. The narrow DOF creates a blurry tail, that maybe competes a bit for the attention, but still I would take this any day
I am not put off by the blurry tail as the rest of the image is pin sharp and just the right amount of fill flash has been used to bring out the colours in both the bird and setting. Out of interest could you have used 400 ISO and increased the depth of field by a stop. I do not think that it would have brought the whole tail into focus but may have helped?

Nice shot, love the perch and BG plus excellent use of FF. My only nit is I find it a little tight in the frame. I also appreciate what has been said about DOF - yet had the tail been OOF in the BG instead of the FG this would have been far more acceptable!

Well up to your usual standard Vince and great use of flash. All the minor nits have been covered so I'll just say well done for making the most out of a rubbish day!
