Blue Tit on Berries
(Wild)

Took this today at one of the feeding stations, fair play these little fellas have a lot to go through during these stormy conditions we are encounting at present :frown:

D2X - 400mm AF-S F2.8
ISO 200, F4,1/100sec
Using vehicle as a hide
Flash xtender was used again due to the conditions being very dull
To much flash I think:eek:

Thanks for looking :toast:

lol @ (wild)

Nice shot vince.I think it needs to be cropped just under the branch to get rid of the wasted bottom.Other than that :toast:

Thanks Alan, it did look a bit strange to me to. What about this re-posted crop?

Yep - the new crop works better for me Vince - faultless for me now.

Nice one Vince - the berries make an attractive perch, and complete a spectrum of colour in the image. The re-post is a stronger image IMO.

Good Photoshop work cloning out the jesses too!

Nice Vince,

I am going to be in the minority here, I would prefer the first with just a bit trimmed of the bottom to just below where the branch enters the frame.

Phil H - Thats what i ment

But the crop looks cool either way :toast:

You're right about too much flash
The illuminated leg is very dominant here and takes the eye quickly.

Background is killer as usual, as is the perch.

We've had 4 solid weeks with rain every day....never mind a flash I think I'll be asking santa for flippers if this carries on any longer.

BTW your print will be posted tomorrow, they should get it on Friday.
