Baker Beach & Golden Gate
We spent the night on the way back from Monterey with my brother in law's family in San Francisco and we went out for sunrise in the city. It wasn't great but I loved shooting this location. There were dogs off leash playing in the waves all around me.... difficult to get a shot without paw prints in the sand

Thing I love about Golden Gate is the way it casts such distinctive shadows on the hills. . . Great color in this one.

In '99 I was on top of the tower on the SF side - it was an awesome tour that predated my serious photography, and of course 9-11 - the view up there is spectacular. This is a neat shot. I've heard this angle is hard to get to, but perhaps not? One of the Timecatchers I believe has a shot from this same location I've always liked. One thing that is interesting to note is that the transportation district there feels that they have rights to any and all images of the bridge - interesting and "yeah, right!" was what I thought when I was told that...

This beach is very easy to get to - part of the Presidio where my brother-in law was lucky enough to score one of the houses to rent. View of the whole city from his front yard....

Not magical, but still cool John. I'm not totally sold on the choice of shutter speed with the water.

Erick, I believe at low tide those rock at the bend make excellent FG elements - but high tide was 85% in and was throwing up some big waves so there was no way to get a shot using them on this morning.

Rick, Nope, not magical. But I was glad to have captured this moment nonetheless.
