Can't fault it. Lighting is excellent and I love the b/g. What is the b/g as you seem to be shooting up?

Hi John,
It's bracken that extends uphill about 100ft or so, behind my perches.

Lovely Justin, the dead bracken does a fine job.

Me too! Mind you, I'd need to start with a feeder!

Very nice Justin. Whites look great. Like the comp and colours and perch is really good as well. Processing is great and for me reflects the true colours of these birds. Can't help thinking what f8 or f11 would have done to the tail. Hindsight hey? Why is it only after the shot that I consider those things

Really nice all round :toast: :toast:

Perfect Justin.

Can't agree with the comment about the tail though. If it had all been in focus, it would have looked a little sterile in my opinion. Having the OOF tail adds depth to the image

Great stuff Justin

Hello Justin

It's a lovely image.

I'm with Barrie on the tail (I'm not too obsessed with F numbers myself).

Love the whole comp'.

Seems to have it's head positioned perfectly to me.

Gorgeous, so crisp you could reach out and grab it. Interesting views on the tail, for me it gives it perspective adding depth to the image so definately prefer it as it is.

Hi Justin

I can't really see how you could improve on this image - beautiful. I think Barrie makes a good point re DOF on the tail and I agree with him!

Hi Justin,
What a superb image , the BG is perfect and the amount of detail you've managed to capture is excellent , one of the best Bluetit images i've seen posted here.

Kind regards
Andy...

Nice shot Justin, I get oof braken miles away at one of my sites too, 6ft high in the summer and virtually dead flat in the winter

Hi Justin

A lovely image, well composed, great colour and detail, background works a treat, the DOF is fine for me and a bit of OOF on the tail is not an issue.

You and Vince are setting a very high standard for this winters bird feeder images, I hope I manage something half as good this winter.

:toast:

cheers
