Wild Fox with Vole
Whilst out & about monitoring one of the Barn Owl sites I work, this Fox appeared with a Vole in its mouth, couldn't resist taking a few record shots before he or she dissapeared.

Taken close to dusk during Sping 2006.

D2X - 600mm AF-S F4
ISO 800, F4, 1/320sec
Using a vehicle as a hide

Thanks for looking :toast:

Very nice Vince - what a lovely sight to see!
I think I might tone down the saturation a bit, especially in the grass, but without trying it, I'm not sure!!

Excellent shot - you made the most of the opportunity!

Just needs the green toning down a bit!

I'm not crazy about foxes, but this is a very good grab shot. I do like the eye contact.

Difficult to tell, but probably a male......squarer type of head and broad between the eyes.

I've taken the liberty of toning down the saturation in the yellows and adjusted the levels ever so slightly.

Your other print's just been posted btw

Hi Vincent

An excellent image, especially considering it is just a 'grab' shot and not really preplanned. No nits really, I'd be delighted with this shot.
