It's been cold at night the last week or so and a lot of freestanding water has been freezing, including this stream.

This is cool, I guess just when the water starts to freeze. Nice but I think by working it you might have come up with a better print. Could have made it a little more abstract with heavy underexposure?
I see you played with the clouds to enhance the geometry, but somehow I have the feel the photo is not as cristaline as it could be. Maybe work the photo to underexpose the non white parts to deepen the photo and the colors. Like deep marine blue and dark brown, so that the geometry of the cristals stand out and the underlying nature, grass and rocks in the water are just hinted.
Basically make the photo more primal.
Here's an example of what I mean, though I think I overdid it :)
I think this is one of the best pieces I've seen of yours. I like it is as presented here. In a printed form, you might consider adding some black to the blues. This would punch up the contrast a touch without ruining the subtle textures in the high values. Cool photo and nicely done!

Dan: thanks for the alternative suggestion and putting in the effort for the rework. I'll keep that in mind if I get serious with this.
Paul and Preston: thanks for the kind words. The blues are a bit strong even after I reduced the blue channel in saturation.

[EDIT] My un-calibrated screen may be too bright from the feedback I had from my other post so maybe what I wrote doens't apply.
