I found photos I took in Feb'05 of Pinnacles which for some reason I never sorted. I kinda like this one which I remember was trying to compose on the diversity of hues of green that were surprising to me, but I'd like an honest criticism of what works/doesn't work in it to better my compositions next time.
I've done some minor color/exposure correction but my screen is not calibrated.

Dan seems way too dim, maybe your gamma? I screen captured it into Photoshop then had to move the Levels right end slider from 255 to 195 and center slider from 1.00 to 1.10 to normalize it. Note my monitor is well calibrated. See what that looks like on your monitor and if way too bright you ought to tweak your monitor. After I did that it seemed a bit soft so I ran unsharp mask 77 0.3 0 which took care of that. I'm guessing those little lighter green circles at center are new leaves of Pacific sedum which I recall being common in dim mossy areas at Pinnacles. I have a pretty good guess where this might be. ...David

Ah i see you're accustomed to take this kind of shot from your web site :)
Did you mean to post the corrected version you mention? If so you didn't link it
Thanks for the feedback. I really need to borrow a spyder then - though I tend to like underexposed photos I guess.
