Went for a wander on the fells today. The rain eventually cleared and soon this scene was revealed.

Beautiful - great light and colours. That was quite some wander you went for!

Hi Michael
great picture starting from the base leading your eye to different subjects and light and finishing off with the mountains.

Hi Michael

A great landscape shot, superb colours and textures in the sky and land. Maybe the only nit is the foreground is a bit weak from a composition standpoint, a stonger element or shape here might have helped. Or ignore the foreground completely and make the most of that super sky and the texture on the hill in the distance. A very clear day too by the looks of it.

Hi Michael,
Very nice, with an interesting sky and even more interesting landscape.
The light quality looks beautiful and really clear.

I like everything about this picture. The foreground is not a problem for me. I think the rocks
mimic the hills in the background. Excellent,

Thanks for the comments guys. I agree that the foreground could be a bit stronger. However, in my defence  this moment lasted only seconds, so I pretty much had to set up where I was standing at the time and press the shutter! For 99% of the time I was out a-wanderin' the sky was uniform grey, with low cloud and persistent drizzle!! I did manage a couple more shots after this was taken, perhaps with better composition, but the pools of light were not as evident in the others - and that's what makes this shot nice (IMO!)

Thanks again folks. I very much appreciate the feedback!
