Hi All
looking for a Canon EF 500mm F4 IS USM Lens. In good working order with no Fungi. Not bothered if there is a couple of scratches on the barrel as long as it is not on the Glass.

How about the Sigma 500mm F4.5 ( i just bought one..), it's much lighter, well build, fast-even with a 1.4TC, and a whole lot cheaper, when only a half stop less light.
If you are interested i can give you an e-mail adres of a friend in Hong Kong where i bought mine. He sells them at a bargain compared to some of the shops over here! (and i guess especially compared to the UK, where everything is much more expensive then over here).

If you are interested John, just send me an e-mail!

Best regards,

Jeroen Stel

John,

In case you weren't aware,if it makes any difference,I see Warehouse Express have lowered their new price on the 500mm f4,down to £4094

I have an inkling that a new 500mm (DO??) might be in the wind - this is simply a personal thought based on marketing strategy,I have no other accurate information to back it up.

I see some lenses coming down in price-mifsuds now offer the 300 2.8 for under 3k but presumed it was to do with the dollar rate

Hi Guys
thanks for your help. Brian I have e-mailed that person waiting for a reply. Jeroen looked at the lens but I would prefer an IS lens. Justin and Dave Canon announced that some of there bigger lenses are down in price. Tom I havn't decided yet may still wait a few months.
Thanks
John. :toast:
